The Iconic Astroworld Merchandise
Astroworld Merch is based upon the iconic album of the same name released in 2018. Concert tours brought forward the Astroworld outfits collection which included Astroworld Hoodies, shirts, hats and other apparel. Fans went crazy after the release of Astroworld merch. The merch was sold out in a matter of days. The hottest items of the merch include Wish You Were Here Hoodie and hat, Scattered Astroworld hoodie, No Bystanders shirt and the iconic Happy face shirt.
What is Astroworld?
Astroworld was a theme park located in Houston, Texas and was a renowned amusement park for the residents. It was developed in 1968 by former mayor as a part of Astrodome. It was sold to the Six Flags Corporation in 1975. It had number of iconic rides and roller coasters which were very popular. Astroworld was closed in 2005 and it was demolished shortly after.
History of Astroworld
As a kid, artist went to Astroworld and it was a significant part of his childhood. In August 2018, the rapper released his third studio album named Astroworld to honor the late theme park. It was released under the banner. The critics and fans went crazy upon the release and the album was a huge commercial success. After the success, the rapper went on to promote his album through Astroworld tour and concerts in different states and Europe. The main theme of the infamous ‘Wish You Were Here tour‘ was to revive the child theme park in Houston. The 2nd leg of the tour was completed in March 2019 and is expected to be revived for 3rd leg.
Official Astroworld Merch
Official Astroworld Merch dropped with the Astroworld album in August, 2018. The rapper unveiled Astroworld merch collection in small 24 hours gaps from 1st to 10th of August. These Merch collections featured Astroworld Hoodies and shirts. The collection expanded to 28 pieces with some new items included each day. These drops defined the hot and rare collections.
Virgil Abloh also collaborated with La Flame to put forward two Astroworld themed tees. These included action figures printed front and back. These rare tees were only available for 24 hours on August 9 and one of them only had 500 pieces available.
Travis Scott Merch
In November 2018, the rapper announced Astroworld Festival to be held in Houston, Texas. To go along with the festival, he released limited Astroworld Festival featured merch and added “Where Were You?” slogan to the collection.
In 2019, To celebrate official dates of Astroworld Tour Leg 2, he collaborated with Dover Street Market in LA and brought forward DSM tie dye hoodies, shirts and beanies. This collection beared Astroworld symbols and slogans along with DSM.
In March 2019, he performed in Madison Square Garden, Barclays centre Brooklyn and released special themed shirts for NBA fans. He also remixed NBA jersey for his Home team Houston rockets by updating 1985 away jersey and adding his Smiley Face on the rocket man. Astroworld tour leg 2 ended in March and fans are still Dying for him to announce dates for Leg 3.
